What's the difference between the one John Myung uses and those we can buy in shops? I found that John Myung's RBX-JM2 has a device(maybe another pickup) located between the Seymour Duncan SMB-6A bridge pickup and bridge when I watched the This Dying Soul music clip. So, are those gears for famous musicians like John Myung really master-built and much different from what we got in shops? I mean the differences in materials and hardwares. It is really not expensive for a signature bass. And how do you think about this model? (Labass, I'm really, really sorry for bothering you and asking so many useless questions. I think I wouldn't spend so much money for a bass because I'm not a pro but only an undergraduate. Thanks for your help and advices, indeed. By the way, one of my friend is paying much attention on your Lakland 55-02 Hope you'll sell it soon.)
我記得John Myung自己用的琴好像跟我們買到的一樣!! 也就是Yamaha高雄楠梓廠做的!! 不過John Myung的琴似乎有拿去給Yamaha USA custom修過!! 而且pickup和線路也換不同的! 所以你在雜誌上看到的大概是他拿去修改之後的吧!! 但基本上該琴的原始狀態應該跟我們買到的是同樣的!! 不過我之前的經驗!! Yamaha低等級的6-string bass有一大問題!! 就是高,低音不平均.....高音弦和低音弦彈起來像兩把不同bass的聲音!! 就算換了pickup和前級...聲音還是如此!! 應該是琴本身的Balance問題吧....
之前看Bass Magazine上專訪John Myung 的時候，在一代簽名琴他手上用的跟一般市售的木頭 感覺有滿大的差距，不論色澤、木紋上面；就之前短 暫把玩的感覺，音色上也覺得跟他cd的音色有滿大的 相異之處，所以二代簽名琴是否也有像似之處? 此外，John Myung這次跟Yamaha研發團隊應該作了 很久的溝通後才正式販賣，印象看到John Myung換新 琴後近兩年簽名琴才正式販售，中間的過程中也會更改 一些硬體，映象最早看到John Myung換二代琴的時候 還是兩個雙線圈拾音器，而非現在的單雙線圈(忘了哪一 年的Dream Theater偷拍V8有拍到)。
