之前在吉他版有版友分享過了 我是上禮拜才拿到雜誌 總共有一個全頁的e-mail專訪 然後有照片 最爽的是..............有 canon in D這首歌的tab!
我有念哪个"guitar world article" 看一看: "Earlier this year, the online guitar community was sent into a tizzy by a home video of a young Asian guitarist named Funtwo performing a virtuoso rock version of "Canon in D," a well known piece of music by 17th century Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel. The clip was posted online at the video-sharing web site YouTube.com, and within weeks it drew millions of registered views. But Funtwo was not the originator of the rock version of "Canon"- he was merely performing an arrangement created by a 25-year-old Taiwanese guitarist named Jerry Chang. JerryC, as he is known, is a devout shred-head, who performs in and around Taiwan with his band, C Band, and teaches guitar. Guitar World recently conducted an email interview with the formerly unknown guitarist responsible for the musical arrangement behind this internet sensation. Guitar World: How does it feel to have caused such a stir in the online guitar community? How has it changed you? JerryC: I'm happy that most people like my music. The biggest change is that now I have more students. GW: Did it ever bother you that Funtwo's Youtube video caused all the commotion, even though it was your track he was playing along to? JerryC: Not at all. He credited me in his video for the original rock arrangement, and the more popular he became, the more poular I became. GW: As a guitarist, what do you think made people so interested in watching someone play your rock arrangement of "Canon"? JerryC: I think because it's interesting to see and listen to. GW: What inspired you to create this arrangement of Pachabel's "Canon"? JerryC: I just like the piece very much. GW: How much work went into it, and how much of a challenge was it? JerryC: It took me two weeks to finish it. The trick was to get the balance between playing gracefully but with aggressive tone. GW: When did you first start playing guitar, and what inspired you? JerryC: I started playing guitar at 17 years old, just because it looked like a cool thing to get into. GW: How did you develop your skills? JerryC: Practice, practice, and practice! GW: Which guitarists are you listneing to these days? JerryC: Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jason Becker, Slash, [instrumental guitarist] Neil Zaza, and [Portuguese guitarist] Goncalo Pereira. GW: Considering your obvious gifts as a guitarist, what would you most like to accomplish with them? JerryC: God gave me talent, and I give people music. That's all I want"
