MOTU是以1394的結構為基礎所研發的AUDIOWIRE，雖然線材看起來是一模一樣但傳輸的速度及內容及腳位應該不一樣。目前自行發展的格式中只有YAMAHA的mLAN才是與1394相同，不過其傳輸速度只有200Mbps 。
