老實說呢，我絕得Mesa在台灣被神格化了啦 說真的，High Gain不如Peavey Clean也不如Fedner阿 大概是因為沒有代理商，讓他成為了「傳說中的名機」吧 這是我的感覺啦... 再者，如果是我，去掉Krank，我想我會選擇VHT Pitbull or Kuncklehead Reverb
我覺得並不是MESA被神格化，他如果很遜，外國的一些大咖也不會用，就因為很多Metal都用MESA，所以他才會那麼有名，而聽CD裡面的音色也的確讓人喜歡 不過到了2000年以後，大家追求的是有個性的音色吧！不喜歡太常聽到的聲音 我是沒好好試過Daul Rectifier，聽說MESA需要仔細的調，才能找到好音色，而且他的EQ在Higain時幾乎沒甚麼作用 相較之下，Diezel的EQ很厲害，不管什麼Gain，EQ的作用很靈敏，可以調出許多不同的音色，而且隨便調都好聽
對呀.....大咖像"艾葳兒"........Mesa不是不好...只是跟Diezel,Engl,Krank比起來,個性沒那麼強啦....,我之前也是因為很多Metal都用MESA才去買Dual Rectifier和Triaxis...結果真的不是那麼喜歡...就像Youna說我"innocence"一樣...我真的是很無知...B'coz I used to like Mesa....
我用 mesa dual rect. 還蠻開心的... 但兩三年都在調痛... 試管子... 我找到我要的tone了! 剛買來時... 越彈越不喜歡... 打算賣掉了! 但現在... 呵... 讚! 不管配 mesa 或 marshall 的 cab... 都很棒 試著換耶不同 power 跟 pre 的tube... 真的會讓人眼睛發亮的! 也許它是名牌... 也許你還沒調到你要的 但... 我覺得它還是很棒的amp! 得看花多少時間... 它本來就是個難調的 amp
嗚嗚~~!好好喔!我也想要一組自己的head+cab..可惜實在太貴啦...只能在網站上聽著爽....我覺得KRANK的聲音真的很屌...試聽黨比起MESA(練團室的)感覺真的讚很多!我也很喜歡ENGL的 Savage 120，可惜也是超貴啦...之前在德國的eBay有看到，這顆Head不含運費加關稅就要快7萬了...這輩子注定於他絕緣....
I swinged by Samash Music a couple of weeks ago and had a chance to try the Krankenstein 100W head. Let me tell you guys, this thing was loud as hell and the sound was thunderous; it was loud in a cool way and definitely got it's own vibe. To be totally honest, it was something I'd never seen or heard. At first, with volume on about 2, it sounded like any solidstate metal distortion pedal; but I later turned up the volume past 3 - which is easily louder than the Peavey 5150 head (used) right next to it with volume on 5 - the sound just jumped right out of it and overwhelmed me with a "biger than life" kind of wall of sound waves. I was right in front of the 4x12 cab, no more than 3 or 4 feet away, and damn was I flabbergasted. With this amp, it was so easy to dial in an excellent searing mega distortion sound. I believe Dimebag was probably going for some kind of new signature tone for himself as the sound from the Krankenstine is somehow alien to Dimebag's usual signature tone. Anyhow, I think the Krankenstine was designed with metal heads in mind. It's sound, although a bit eerie, is kind of scrappy with a hint of warmth. I actually do like the Krankenstine but I just don't play metal that much anymore. So........Bogner Shiva first!! A note for those who dislike Mesa Boogie Dual Recto: One of the most impressive METAL tone I've ever heard was from a Mesa Boogie Triple Recto full stack cranked almost all the way up. I was among the crowd watching and listening to this metal band that I didn't even know the name of. I still remember that "sound", it just got stuck in my head. I did not and still don't know how to nail that perfect Mesa Boogie Recto tone.
So that means even you turned up the volume more than 3, only can be louder than Peavey 5150, but it still comes out the "solidstate" sounding, am I right?? Well, that's what I thought about after I played the Krank Revolution One head.
