Dear Monkey, Please let us know exactly what happened if you can. For your post, trust that you are referring to "out of phase". For example, a strat with real single coil pus, normally, single coil pu have two output wires, one was hot, the other was ground. IF both single coil was of the same magnetic polarity, we run the hot wire of middle pu to the selector, ground the ground wire, then run the ground wire of the bridge pu to selector, then ground the hot. By this, at the position 4, you will have a out-of-phase sound, which was a clean, trebly hollow sounds. But, on position 3 & 5, you still have normal single coil sound. If you experience this problem and don't liked it, simply exchange the wire of bridge pu (i.e, wire the hot to selector, ground the ground wire). Hope it will be clear for you, if your problem was with humbucker pu, please e-mail to me at pwanhku@yahoo.com.hk Best regards, PATRICK
