大家都知道ProTools在業界幾乎是攏斷的地位。可是我也開始想到,現在電腦越來越快,又加上TC和Mackie的UAD-1這種卡來跑plugins,配上cubase,logic真的還輸ProTools嗎？要算性能和價錢比,ProTools會 不會太貴了點.....真的有必要一定用ProTools嗎？

不談商業標準,就像前面說的,用TC卡或是Mackie的UAD-1來跑plugins,配上別的軟體是不輸ProTools的任何功能的,而且價格也低很多。可是人總是會計較自己買不起的東西,認為就是好。你想你去錄音室,如 果他們用的是Nuendo配上steinberg的硬件,你一定會想,這樣不是和我的一樣,要不也是這樣的設備我自己買就好了,幹麻非要到你這裡錄？不是嗎？
我的看法比較主觀啦 兩個系統錄出來的聲音其實差不多,但是nuendo便宜,所以將來會把protool 幹掉.貴的不一定就一定好.除非是跟Neve sound比. 就像以前的Synclavier一樣,有些東西只是心理因素作祟.後來Synclavier,Fairlight,不也都關門了?
I think that one of the problems for me is the latency. I am not sure about the latency from Nuendo. But as far as Logic Audio or DP goes, the latency on them are not very appreciated.

Well, I think that you are thinking about the latency for listening back when you overdub tracks. But what I actually mean is the latency AFTER you record the tracks on the DAW. Since no latency for monitoring while tracking DID NOT equal recorded tracks have latency, this will turn out that tracks do not align at the correct positions even you record them with the right timing.
