Emagic 最近一連串發表新的 Logic 控制台一定讓其他軟體用戶很羨慕，特別是這幾款控制台功能齊全、價格也合理、外觀也很專業。只可惜這些控制台只支援 Emagic 的軟體產品，但換個角度而言，這是唯一讓軟硬體整合和穩定的方法，因此 Emagic 的大方向是沒錯的。其他廠商可能要努力一點了。(奇怪的是 Emagic 倒底有多少工程師，有辦法這半年在軟硬體上做了那麼多的不錯的產品.....實在很難想像。) <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR> (From Harmony Central)Phat Channel Extension Unit for Logic Control The Phat Channel is the new extension unit for the Logic Control system. 這套是 Mackie 跟他們合作開發的. 想想 Mackie 為 Digidesign 設計的那台 HUI, 才上市沒多久,Digidesign 就自己出了一台, Digi 後來還跟 Focusrite 又出一台讓 HUI 完全賣不掉感覺的 Contro 24... 不難想像 HUI 沒有進一步的更新計劃,所有技術層面完全轉到 Emagic 來之外, 在很多方面,這台機器是完全衝著 Procontrol 來的. 也是其他 Native 系統的控制介面中第一台 Fader 有達到 1024 step 解析度的產品 - 相同於 Neve, SSL, Procontrol, Control 24, HUI 的 1024 Step Fader Moving.( 其他都是 127 Step, 聲音的調整相對之下粗糙很多. ) 儘管使用起來可能都各有不同,不過這台擴充性跟功能和價位, 真讓人激賞 ! MOTU 一下子被比下去了 - 我不禁想到, 是否 MOTU 也快推出產品了, 既然 Mackie 沒跟 MOTU 合作, 那 MOTU 應該在強調他們的 Surround Mixing 上, 至少要有這種像樣的週邊出現才合理 !
我也注意到 Emagic 的第一台主控控制台和 Mackie HUI 一模一樣，猜想八成是代工後貼上個牌子再配合軟體 driver，但是 Emagic 的同樣產品卻比 Mackie 便宜很多，令人費解。而以下的旋鈕式控制台用來控制 effect、plug-ins 等應該是不錯的主意，但界面不知是否能全面反應 (或是夠直覺) 軟體上的旋鈕還是一個疑問。 至於 MOTU 是否有這樣的打算，我想或多或少應該有，必竟 Steinberg 也有自己的控制台 (雖然很醜，又大而無當且暫時無法闊增)，而 surrond 也是 DP3 所強調的。不過目前 MOTU 光是忙著將 DP 等軟體轉到 Mac OS X 上就沒時間了，再者有第三廠商支援的控制台也可以是不發展自己的同類產品藉口。 不過我已經寫信和打電話和他們建議了 (其實主要也是抱怨 Unisyn 太老和 DP 的 notation 太爛)。因此，希望 MOTU 有新的動作者也寫個 email 去建議一下。讓廠商知道使用者的真正需要是幫助研發商成長的好方法，而用戶也終將因工具的方便而得利。
寫信去問 Emagic 是否支援其他家作曲軟體,他們回答是目前不考慮,所以 Logic Control 目前只能在 Logic Platinum 5 或以上版本使用. 真令人失望...希望 MOTU 爭氣點,出個控制台. " At the moment Logic Control just can be used together with Logic Platinum 5. There are no certain decisions at the moment about further support for different programs."
