inlay的話我一直想訂做一把蛇不規則地纏繞在neck上, 而不是整條在指板上,這樣感覺比較死板 因為我覺得看到蛇(or龍)攤得直直的就很不像蛇(龍)XD "訂金一付反正28個月才拿得到琴=一個月不用$10,000" 這觀念真是太棒了!!哈哈 這樣想起來就覺得訂做琴好便宜喔(誤)
Hi Bro, Nice buy! For the fretboard, #7 or #17 seems to be a good choice. The wood grains on those two are more straight and tighter than the rest. I think that will make the fretboard more stronger considering the humid weather in TW. For the Koa top, second one definitely has much more "mojo" than the first one. You ask KL to pick the wood for you at a wood mill or you have friend to do that for you? cause in a wood mill, the price difference for the two would be no more than 100 bucks. You can go check out the "ExoticWoods.com". My luthier friend and I went there couple times. Nice place to go. BTW, for the neck and body, what's in your mind? All mahogany? If you are using all mahogany, oh man, the sound would be dark. I remember you once had a all mahogany with koa top Ibanez. The sound should be similar. But I think if you take all facts in to account (body type, neck type, electronics). You will figure it out. Can't wait to see your axe. Cheers! (sorry, i don't have CH input on my laptop)
