Rico The import guitar lines started around 1978. They were called a B.C. Rico. It is unknown exactly how many of these were actually made, but there appears to be many more than previously though. The B.C. Rico guitars were made in Japan. Most of the Rico's had "RXXX" serials, however there are a few examples of them without an alphabetical prefix, or with a prefix of "T". After the B.C. Rico's, there were B.C. Rich import guitar lines introduced. These were serialed with a "RXXXX" and were made in Japan. Following these earlier Japanese made guitars were another line of imports which were the first of the NJ series. These were a high quality guitars and featured the "RXXXXXX" serial. There also have been reported instances of imports with the "BC Rich Logo w/NJ Series Sticker" that had the RXXX ink stamped serial number. By 1983 the NJ serials were in full production making electrics, acoustics, hollow body semi acoustics and electric/acoustics. The serial number is usually a sticker on the back of the headstock. These guitars have a consistant serial number line with the first two numbers being the year. Eg: "R83XXXX" will be made in 1983. "R86XXXX" will be made in 1986. In some very rare cases, there were also some Handmade NJ series guitars, hollow body semi acoustics with solid spruce tops. There are also mid to late 80's import B.C. Rich's that had no serial number but were designated "N.J. Series" on the headstock. These had either a blank neck plate or a neck plate that only states "Made in Japan". These "R" serials were used until the late 1980's. By the Early 1990's they had changed to a "BXXX" system, which similar to the USA bolt on models are very hard to identify. The "B" serial numbers range from four digits to five digits. All this can cause some confusion but you can tell imports from USA's by shape, "NJ" designation, parts, etc.
i want to know what the relationship between this mocking bird with the hide's fernandes mg serious.... did hide find this guitar very good and ordered fernandes to make the same one for him?
如果要用吉他來推斷的話 Fernandes有自己的無線延音系統 但是那個是可以裝載在其他吉他上的...所以我覺得那不是重點 手感的話 MG系列跟很多MIJ的BC Mockingbird差不多 比聲音 USA/MIJ的bc rich都比F的凶很多 可能Hide不喜歡太兇的聲音吧 另外 說現實一點 Fernandes是日本牌子 因為地緣跟市場關係 會比較拉拔日本藝人 會幫hide出簽名琴...會幫他做出適合hide風格的電吉他(我覺得這是最主要的原因) BC rich可能連鳥都不鳥他... X還沒有在美國完全登陸就解散了...聽過他們的老美也沒幾個 這樣hide會用那個牌子呢?
hide早期用過很多把美廠bc rich喔!!假如有參觀過hide museum的朋友應該會看到他生前使用過的琴.裡面有4.5把美廠老bc rich...至於後來mg360聽說是fernandes跟bc rich買了外型版權而去生產的.
