Yes these new tube-hearted babies were introduced at NAMM in January 2005. The speaker simulator of the Vox Tonelab SE pedal (also tube-equipped) does sound superior to that of the various POD units to my ears.

Being traditional gain pedals, the COOLTRONs don't feature speaker simulator circuits.

Beautiful, aren't they?
